Donor Advising, Research & Educational Services (DA•R•ES) - working in concert with donors' financial, legal and philanthropic advisers - provides expert advice on how best to meet one's strategic charitable objectives and provides hands-on assistance and support in developing and implementing a plan to achieve those goals.
Great grant making involves four distinct steps:
- developing a giving strategy with achievable programmatic objectives appropriate to one's means
- incorporating philanthropy into one's overall financial planning strategy
- implementing a gift or a giving program
- engaging in appropriate oversight over the lifetime of the program.
